Our Stance

Facility Shield FM maintains a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings, ensuring exploitation has no place within our operations or supply chains.

Our practices strictly adhere to the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. We set high ethical expectations for our entire network, requiring all staff, contractors, and suppliers to uphold these standards. We reserve the right to terminate relationships with any party found to be in breach of these principles, as our commitment to human rights is fundamental to our operational strategy.

Supply Chain Due Diligence

Facility Shield FM recognises that our supply chain is where the greatest risks lie. We implement a structured governance framework to assess, manage, and mitigate modern slavery risks at every touchpoint.

Vetting & Onboarding

All new suppliers undergo a rigorous pre-qualification assessment. This process evaluates their labour recruitment practices, transparency in their own supply chains, and adherence to international human rights standards before any engagement begins.

Contractual Standards

Compliance is a legal prerequisite. Our supplier agreements require strict compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We include specific clauses that guarantee our right to conduct independent audits and demand compliance throughout their subcontracting layers.

Vigilance & Monitoring

We perform periodic risk reviews and targeted site inspections for high-risk categories. By monitoring operational data and labour conditions continuously, we ensure that our initial assessments remain accurate and that standards are upheld indefinitely.

Identification & Action

If concerns are identified, we take immediate action. This typically involves collaborative remediation to protect workers, but we reserve the right to suspend or terminate contracts instantly where breaches are severe or left unrectified.

Raising a Concern

Facility Shield FM is committed to an open and accountable culture. We encourage everyone associated with our business to report any suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking at the earliest possible stage. Your vigilance is vital to protecting human rights across our operations and supply chains.

Reporting Channels

Employees are encouraged to speak with their line manager or supervisor in the first instance. Alternatively, formal reports can be made directly to senior management or via our central compliance email or dedicated reporting phone line.

Confidentiality & Protection

We treat all reports with the strictest confidence. Any individual who raises a concern in good faith will be supported and protected from any form of retaliation or detriment, even if the suspicion subsequently proves to be unfounded.

Investigation Process

All reports are taken seriously and investigated promptly by our senior leadership team. We aim to acknowledge reports immediately and strive to conclude inquiries efficiently, ensuring that corrective measures are implemented where necessary.

Our Action Commitment

We are dedicated to taking prompt and decisive action where breaches are identified. This involves collaborative remediation to protect vulnerable individuals, and we reserve the right to instantly terminate contracts where severe exploitation is detected.
